Report form

The form sends the message, the chosen category and the context of the page being viewed (page address, city, module, view, scope, figure concerned, data version). If provided: a reply address, a screenshot (PNG or JPEG, 2 MB at most) and technical details (browser, screen size, theme, language).

Where it goes. The site’s server (a Cloudflare Pages function) sends the report by email to the publisher’s mailbox, Charles-Olivier.Dube@govxray.com. The site keeps no copy. The screenshot is attached to the email only; the site never stores it.

Against abuse. A non-reversible fingerprint of the IP address is kept for at most one hour in a counter (10 reports per hour at most), and a submission identifier for at most 24 hours to avoid duplicates. Neither the IP address nor the message is stored there.

Reply address. Used only to reply to the report. The email received stays in the publisher’s mailbox while the request is handled.

Sending by email. The email button opens the device’s mail app with a pre-filled message; nothing is sent until the person sends it.

Audience measurement

The only audience measurement allowed on the site is Cloudflare Web Analytics: no cookie, no personal data, page views only. No advertising tool or social network pixel is used.

Preferences kept in the browser

The theme, the display currency, the last city opened and the cities chosen in the comparator are kept in the browser’s local storage. They are not sent to the site and are erased with the browsing data.

Hosting and third-party resources

The site is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages). Like any host, Cloudflare processes technical request data, including the IP address, to serve the pages and protect the site.

Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, style sheets and icons from cdnjs and jsDelivr, and flags from flagcdn. As with any web request, these providers receive the IP address and browser type; GovXRay receives nothing from them.

What GovXRay does not do

No personal data is sold, rented or shared for advertising. No visitor profile is built.
